Maternity
I've never been more in awe or had as much respect for my body as when I was pregnant. We literally grow an entire being from almost nothing to around 7.5lbs.
You go about your days as usual but with a little human wriggling around inside of you. The comfort you feel when you rest your hands on your belly and feel a little nudge back. Part of you feels like they've always been there. I suppose they sort of have, in a way.
I know it's science, but in my eyes it's the closest thing to magic I think I'll ever experience. If this doesn't deserve to be celebrated then honestly I don't know what does.
So this is it, time to celebrate you, to encapsulate this moment, to feel like the life-growing goddess that you truly are.

What's the shoot like?
Either at home or on location, maternity shoots are more story telling than documentary, we will work together to curate and tell your story. I will offer gentle prompts and instructions for you to follow and together we will allow your inner goddess to shine through. I will encourage you to spend the time connecting with your bump (and your partner if they're there) and to revel in the beauty of this life altering experience that you're going through.
Newborn
The newborn bubble is quite unlike any other time. Endless, hazy days spent watching your whole heart, now outside of you in this tiny, but mighty, being.
Minutes turn to hours as you watch the rise and fall of their chest, wondering how you can possibly love something so much.
Studying everything, the soft downy hair on their ears, their tiny but ridiculously long nails, the way they pout their lips while they're sleeping... You want to stay in this moment forever, and remember every tiny little detail.
A newborn photoshoot is the perfect way to do just that, to encapsulate this fleeting time. So that you can look back and remember not just how small they were, but how you felt gazing at them for hours on end.

What's the shoot like?
Either at home or on location, newborn shoots are mix of story telling and documentary. I will offer gentle prompts and instructions for you to follow but I will also step back and just capture you within your newborn bubble. I aim to spend some time taking close up shots of all their little details that you don't want to forget. Of course the session is entirely baby-led, we follow their lead which is why I allow extra time, time for feeds, nappy changes etc.
Motherhood
There's no denying that the bond between mother and babe is unshakable. You spend countless hours together, all day or all night (or maybe both).
They grew within you and you grew and changed as a result of them, not just physically but emotionally too.
You spend pretty much every waking hour thinking for or about them.
You're in sync in a way that you didn't even realise you could be in sync with anyone before, forever connected... unconditional love.
Yet even with all of this, the amount of photos we have with our little ones are usually slim pickings.
Let me capture this love for you. So that when they grow a bit older you can look back and remember exactly how they were and exactly how you were, together.

Either at home or on location, motherhood shoots are mostly documentary. We will follow your babe/s and what makes them most comfortable. I may guide you towards the best light or backdrop, but I will encourage you to be yourselves. To revel in each others company and do all of the things that you usually do together. Whether that's snuggles, tickles, reading books, feeding, napping, chasing eachother... if it's special to you and your relationship together then I want to capture it, as I believe that's what you'll want to look back on.
Family
There's no denying that our children are growing older, and fast. You feel like you blink and before you know it another year has passed and suddenly they've stopped doing that thing they used to do that you loved so much.
I truly believe that any time and age is worth capturing - not just the baby years.
It's time to capture them just as they are, their funny little quirks, the way you are, together.
Give them concrete memories to look back on for years to come. One day these photos will become heirlooms, and possibly some of the only tangible snapshots of this time in their lives.

Love is an intense, expanding entity. Suddenly you're not just you anymore but you're you together. A mix of souls; friendship, laughter, dependability, electricity. An ongoing journey, each stage being so different from the last but no less beautiful.
Whether you're in a stage of electric love or dependable love, your story deserves to be celebrated and captured. To give you a snapshot of this moment in time, to immortalise this stage of you, together and to capture the essence of your relationship as it stands.

What's the shoot like?
Couples sessions are mostly storytelling. We will work together to curate a story that best showcases your relationship. This will take some forward planning between us before your session, looking at locations and activities that are special and uniquely personal to you both. Once together, either at home or on location (or maybe a bit of both if they're close enough), I will offer prompts for you to follow based off our collaborative planning. We will work to capture the essence of you and your relationship as it stands.

YAY! I am so excited you want me to capture you in this moment in time. Please head over to my contact page and fill in some details. Then I will be in touch soon.
Okay I've sent an enquiry, now what?
I will get in touch with you and we will start discussing what you want from the shoot, dates and locations. One we've agreed on these then I will send over a contract and invoice. Once the contract is signed and a £100 deposit paid then the shoot is confirmed. Following this, we will have deeper conversations about specific shoot ideas, locations, timings and outfits. Always happy to do this over zoom so that we can get to know each other a little more but if you'd rather not then messages/emails are fine too.
What on earth do we wear?
Don't worry I am here to help. Once we've got a confirmed date and the contract is signed/deposit paid then we will chat all things styling/outfits etc.
I have a specific idea in mind, is this okay?
Yessss I always love to hear if clients have a specific vision for a shoot. It's great if we can work collaboratively as then we'll all be on the exact same page and will know our joint vision/what we're aiming towards.
What if my child/ren don't play ball?
Don't worry, almost all children don't 'play ball', if they do then they're the select few. That is why my sessions with children are entirely child-led. We follow their lead and do what makes them feel the most comfortable. If we can squeeze some snuggles in then that's great but be prepared to be running around having lots of fun!
What happens after the shoot?
After the shoot you will get some sneak peeks within the next few days to a week, then the full gallery will be ready around 4-5 weeks later. These are ready for you to download and enjoy and I will also be in touch about additional print options - don't let them just sit on your phone/computer!
